Meet Our Staff

Mason Osgood

Executive Director

Originally from Reno, NV, Mason has built a career of non-profit work after earning a B.A. in Public Policy at Trinity College. Mason began his environmental advocacy with the American Alpine Club as a policy intern. Shortly thereafter he began his first year as an AmeriCorps Service member in Crestone, CO serving a small rural charter school. Afterwards, Mason served two years with Sheep Mountain Alliance as an AmeriCorps VISTA where he helped to implement programming and increase SMA’s environmental advocacy capacity. He is incredibly thrilled to move into the Executive Director position at SMA and hopes to bring SMA into the forefront of environmental justice and wildlife advocacy movements in the Western United States. Outside of SMA, Mason serves as the Town of Ophir Mayor, a One to One mentor, an SMRC victim advocate, and a local trail running race director.
