Coffee and Climate Conversations: Caring for our Community

  • Wilkinson Public Library 100 West Pacific Avenue Telluride, CO, 81435 United States (map)

Join Sheep Mountain Alliance, EcoAction Partners and the Wilkinson Public Library for June's Coffee and Climate Conversation about Caring for Our Community June 26th at the Wilkinson Public Library from 8:30-9:30 AM.

This Immigrant Heritage Month, we will explore the topic of how immigrant and historically underrepresented communities have long been stewards of the land, and how their knowledge, resilience, and lived experiences are essential to building just and sustainable futures.  Dive into a conversation about what environmental justice looks like in our community,  how we can give a voice to human and more than human beings that have historically been voiceless in these movements, and gain an understanding that true climate solutions must be rooted in equity, cultural wisdom, and collective care.

How can our whole community be represented in environmental conversations? How is the well-being of our community intertwined with the well-being of our more-than-human natural world?

Gather for this important community conversation with coffee, tea and pastries kindly provided!
