Coffee and Climate Conversations: Environmentalism Through the Decades

  • Wilkinson Public Library 100 West Pacific Avenue Telluride, CO, 81435 United States (map)

For decades, environmental advocacy has shaped communities across San Miguel County. From our biggest wins, such as establishing the Valley Floor Conservation easement or creating a comprehensive Climate Action Plan, to ongoing conversations around land use, energy, waste and water issues in the face of our changing climate, our community continues to mobilize around the landscapes we call home. Join Sheep Mountain Alliance, EcoAction Partners, and local environmental advocates Joan May and Art Goodtimes for a discussion about environmentalism in our community over the decades: where have we been, and what will we do next? Whose voices should we center in these conversations, and how can we come together across different interest groups to envision a sustainable future? Join us for this exciting discussion about our region’s environmental legacy and future. As always, coffee, tea and pastries kindly provided. We hope to see you there!
