3 Ways YOU can take action today!

Write to your representatives!

Make your voice heard! Take action on these topics TODAY:

  • USDA’s new plan to reorganize the Forest Service would move authority outwards, eroding expertise and sidelining on-the-ground monitoring efforts, affect designation of Species of Conservation Concern, and creating difficulties for the USFS to respond to objections and FOIA requests. These lags in decision-making, especially when compounded with threats like weakened NEPA and the potential rollback of Roadless Area protections, will greatly impact our small communities.

  • The Roadless Rule, which has protected over 50 million acres of forests since 2002, is on the chopping block. On June 23, Secretary Rollins announced the USDA would be rescinding the rule, which prevents new road construction, as well as most commercial logging and other development. Roadless areas are critical for so many reasons: as wildlife habitat, for quiet recreation, for their cultural values, and so much more.
